The Love Dare

40 Days Love Journey

Day 1: Love is Patient
Be Completely humble and gentle: be patient, bearing with one another in love.  ~ Ephesians 4:2 NIV
Today’s Dare
The first part of the dare is fairly simple.  Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart.  For the next day, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all.  If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything.  It’s better to hold your tongue than to say something you’ll regret.

The Bible teaches that marriage was first instituted by God. We believe that it serves as
a fundamental part of “Who hath Biblical Christian teaching.”  With such a large increase in divorce
and broken families, there is a need for guidance in how to succeed in marriage.

The Marriage Ministry’s theme is “Building a Hedge Around our Marriages.” Our desire
is to assist in building strong marriages that include three people – God, husband and
wife. We live in a society where young people have a limited number of models in their047

life who represent a good marriage. Through prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we
aim to provide assistance to couples searching for guidance in how to keep that life-long
commitment made to God and to each other. We believe that God and not man created
marriage and that it is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman. Marriage was
created for the purpose of couples glorifying God as one flesh.

The Ministry is led by couples with 10 to 30 years of marital experience.  Activities include worships with various topics and presenters, the “Amazing Race,” movie night, the newlywed game, etc.  All
married couples and those contemplating marriage are encouraged to become a part of  this viable ministry. We also welcome those in the community as well.
